The AGM FoxBat-5 from the American company AGM Global Vision is a robust night vision binocular suitable for long-term observations at long distances. The Gen2 residual light intensifier features 5x optical magnification and a large 140mm lens with high light output. The AGM FoxBat-5 comes standard with a long-range LED infrared illuminator (850nm/1000mW).

The night vision device features a Generation 2 image tube (IIT) in night vision green. This is the classic navy green image and is also referred to as Green Phosphor. The image tube amplifies the residual light or ambient light thousands of times. Because the night vision device has one image tube but two eyepieces, it's called a bi-ocular. You can use the residual light intensifier with both eyes simultaneously, allowing you to observe comfortably for extended periods. Unlike a monocular night vision device (suitable for one eye), you don't have to constantly close one eye. A hand strap is located on the side of the housing so you can comfortably carry the device in your hand. The included tripod allows you to position the device stably.

Infrared assist light

Because the residual light amplifier is equipped with a cathode ray tube (CRT), even minimal residual light is converted into a visible image. This allows you to work for extended periods without an IR illuminator. However, if you're in complete darkness without any ambient light, you can use the included AGM Sioux 850nm long-range infrared illuminator. This IR illuminator provides a light source outside the visible spectrum, allowing you to observe in complete darkness without being detected. The advantage of 850nm IR is that you have maximum power—a viewing distance of up to 1 kilometer—but the infrared glow is visible when looking directly at the IR source from a short distance. You can adjust the beam power and beam size.

If you prefer a 940nm infrared emitter, the AGM Sioux940 is available as an option. A 940nm IR emitter has an invisible glow, but also a shorter range than an 850nm IR emitter.

Application AGM FoxBat-5 (NL1)

This low-beam intensifier is ideal for long-range nighttime observations. The AGM FoxBat-5 is especially indispensable for long-term, comfortable observations from a standstill or while moving slowly. This includes security, rescue operations, and tactical applications, but it's also a valuable tool for hunters, boaters, and nature lovers. The threaded connection on the bottom allows you to attach the AGM FoxBat to the included tripod.

This night vision device is equipped with a residual light-amplifying image tube, so you can't use it during the day. It will automatically shut off when there's too much light.
