Total love for this sweet thing and for the dear girl who made it for her friend Esther MClure (or Esther M Clure?) long ago--a gift from both of them to us now, I think. Teeming with earnest affection I'd say, and in addition to each carefully needlepointed letter, I really love that flounce of pink and white silk ribbon just at one edge. Wool yarn embroidery with hand-stitched silk ribbon border, sewn to silk ribbon to make a bookmark. 

 Needlepoint area: 5 5/8" l. With ribbon: 11 1/4" l. Overall good antique condition, no losses to the needlepoind and not fragile. Wear to the ends of the ribbon, which could be pressed flat
