It’s perfumed, earthy, all sooty but supple tannin, soft but balanced acidity, fleshy and plump, cocoa and coffee bean, distinct violet thing happening too, and a soft gummy tannin finish that carries very long.

This wine will pair well with big, intense and richer dishes. You can never go wrong with anything that comes off the BBQ — think steak, burgers, and eggplant! It's also a real champ paired with braised meat, stews, grilled mushrooms, roast lamb and eggplant lasagne.
