About galt.:

galt. is a non-profit, student-run publication based at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture in Galt, Ontario. They are dedicated to publishing student and young professional work in the context of a larger architectural discourse that brings together the voices of designers, activists, and academics. Each issue addresses a theme that is informed by a critical perspective on the state of architecture, urbanism, and design.

Issue 06: Noise is about sound, but it is also about quiet. It is as much about music and concerts as it is about the cluttered thoughts in one’s head or the understatement of a pencil. The contributors of Issue 06 responded to this theme with a variety of interpretations—some complementary and some conflicting.
