WTB's flagship alloy wheelset developed for hardcore enduro & trail builds.

We have long been fans of WTB's KOM Tough rims. It's not always easy to find a rim that's the right width, the right weight but is also tough enough to stand up to the kind of riding we do. Especially for the rear wheel. These are just right. So when WTB launched the Proterra wheelset it was a no brainer for us. We use these on the Edit MX bikes.

The KOM Tough i30 rim has a 30mm internal width which is just right for modern high-volume tyres. They're constructed with WTB's 'Dual I-Beam' structure which gives them the strength required without making them too heavy. In between the spoke holes and the tubeless tape is WTB's unique Solid Strip - a durable nylon layer that protects the rim tape internally.

The wheels are laced with DB black spokes in a three-cross pattern for maximum strength and tied in to the rims with brass nipples. WTB Frequency hubs use EZO sealed cartridge bearings and last really well. The rear hub uses a low drag, 6-pawl freehub design.

The Proterra Wheelset includes the Solid Strip, Tubeless Tape and valve pre-installed.
