The Chateau de Camensac keeps itself out of the media spotlight but delivers a quite remarkable production, as do many of the Haut - Medoc on the left bank of Bordeaux. Since 1964 - and the years following the Forner family's move to Château de Camensac - the property has benefited from an extensive renovation plan. Today and since 2005, Château de Camensac is under the management of the Merlaut family. Located on the edge of the Haut-Médoc appellation and the Saint-Julien , the 25-hectare vineyard is established on sloping gravelly soils. The sub-soils are clay-limestone.
