Mini Gen1 R53 Cooper S Vibra-Technics Lower Torque Mount

The original torque link (also known as lower engine mount) allows engine roll affecting throttle response, gear selection and handling. This Vibra-Technics torque link is a fully welded steel construction with two high strength bonded bushes made out of black rubber to take the torsion load. This control link will improve throttle response and also improve how the car feels throughout the gears without compromising driving comfort.

• Road version: Suitable for fast road use and occasional track use, this is due to the rubber in the mounts being carefully adjusted to isolate vibrations lower down the rev range and at idle speeds.
• Race version: Suitable for track only, this is due to the rubber compound used, being stiffer to control movement when on track. Track systems have an isolation threshold above 3000rpm, below which the transmitted vibration can still be quite high.
