Made in the 1950s this ruby and diamond three-stone ring has such flattering proportions. Set to centre with an incredible natural ruby with a rich crimson hue and intense cerise-pink undertones. This ruby is of Cambodian origin and is confirmed to be unheated and weighs in at 2.50ct which is impressive given that ruby crystals tend to be much smaller than other gemstones. In an open-back claw setting with fine split-prong detail, flanked by two round brilliant-cut diamonds also in open-back claw settings.
The diamonds are notably smaller than the central ruby which gives the ring a refined and balanced design which flatters practically every hand. The gallery has decorative scalloped open-work and the shoulders of the ring are pleasingly substantial and solid, tapering to an 18ct yellow gold shank.
Excellent: all stones are secure and well set, with no damage to the mount. Professionally polished and carefully inspected by our workshop, ready to wear and enjoy.
Unless stated otherwise, gem weights and specifications are estimated (assessed in mount).
