A completely different aromatic profile as this is sauvage, earthy and intense with ripe and almost entirely black fruit aromas nuanced with mocha and coffee notes followed by powerful, thick and muscular flavors that deliver the hallmark austerity on the long finish. This is a big if not especially elegant wine that will most please those who enjoy robust, punchy and sturdy burgs. This isn’t my style but it’s clearly a wine of quality. 89/2010+
