This beautifully illustrated sourcebook chronicles the history of the Newcomb Pottery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, from its founding in 1895, and explores the development of the art form, presenting a sensitive picture of the artists themselves. Interest in the Newcomb College art program of the early 20th century continues and grows. Previously unknown examples of their pottery and crafts still surface and values on these beautiful pieces are soaring.
