Reverse: C VAL FLA, Aquila (legionary eagle) between two signa (standards), one inscribed H (Hastati), the other P (Principes), EX S C in lower field.
Struck at Massalia by special decree of he Senate (ex senatus consulto) while Flaccus was proconsul in Gaul.
Victory was the personification of military triumph by the Roman Legions.
