A stunning Asprey & Co 11-piece sterling silver dressing table set in a fine fitted crocodile leather suitcase retailed by J. W. Robinson Co, Los Angeles. All pieces are fully hallmarked for Asprey & Co Ltd, 1940, save one scent bottle which is dated 1939. 

The dressing table set comprises of:

• 3 x powder/cream pots;
• 3 x scent bottles;
• 2 x rectangular brushes;
• 2 x paddle brushes; and
• 1 x mirror.

Each silver piece has remnants of the original gilt and bears clear hallmarks. Each piece fits perfectly in its designated place within the case. Two pieces of the set are absent, namely a comb and a scent bottle (each scent bottle is numbered to the interior lid - 'No. 2' of 4 is absent). All scent bottle retain their original glass stoppers. The mirror has a small dink to the silver back, otherwise all pieces remain in a very good condition.

The case shows signs of wear commensurate with age, most notably to the lower right edge, but remains extremely attractive and of wonderful colour. The clasps open and close with ease.
