Beginners and experienced weavers! 

MATERIALS (NOT included)

Project costs will vary. Instructor will contact you prior to the first class to discuss materials for your project. Floor looms will be provided for each student. 

DETAILS

A mixed level, 8 session class where new weavers will experience the complete weaving process from designing and calculating, winding a warp, dressing the loom, and finally weaving a sampler using a basic threading and a variety of treadling patterns (including double weave). We will also cover various finishing techniques. More experienced weavers will focus on exploring the magic of double weave… weaving 2 layers of cloth at the same time! Students may either make a double weave sampler where you will go deep into the variations of double weave, or design and weave a project of your choice using double weave. Materials not included, project costs will vary.

Students may come in during open shop hours to independently work on their project.  If students don't finish their project by one week after the last session, membership with access to equipment is available.
