Breitling Airwolf Naval Centennial – Ref A78363 – LE 310/500 - Quartz – Full Set

Breitling Airwolf Naval Centennial Limited Edition 310/500 with reference A78363 in stainless steel with round black dial with two LCD digitals windows at 6 and 10 o’clock for other functions. At 6 o’clock is engraved “Breitling Chronometre Certifie” and 9 o’clock with the logo “1911- 2011 -100 anniversary Naval Aviation”. Hours are marked with big white batons, square and triangle. The hands have Baton style. The watch offers a large variety of functions. There is an outside bezel with compass and graduation up to 330. The watch comes with a Breitling crown. The back case is in stainless steel with engraved outside “Limited Edition 310/500 – A78363”. It is a quartz movement with caliber 78. The watch has a stainless-steel bracelet with double clasp. The bracelet fits a 7.75 inches wrist. Full set with box, manuals of operations, attestation de chronometre and international warranty.

History

Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own chronograph. In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
