Intricately carved Angel Skin Coral Rabbit pendant bead. This is a vintage Japanese figural piece, in the form of a sitting rabbit or hare. It is a pink color, with some splashes of darker salmon pink. There is a hole straight through the middle of the rabbits back, so it could be used as a pendant or charm. One of a kind piece carved from natural coral that has not been dyed. It is 30mm long and sits 18mm high. 

The rabbit holds a special meaning in many cultures. Japanese think of the rabbit on the moon as constantly making mochi, the pounded rice cakes they enjoy at the New Year. Besides being symbols of peace, docility and cuteness, they are also considered by many to be lucky.
