The Aniline Clean Care Set Colourlock includes everything you need to clean and protect fully or partially open-pored leather (i.e. water does not penetrate quickly). Oiled leather can also be cleaned and cared for with this set. This type of leather is generally used in the furniture and leather goods industries. Always test both products on a hidden area to check for any changes.

Aniline is open-pored leather. These leathers are pleasant to the touch, warm, with a natural look, but more sensitive than nappa leather (dyed on the surface). Aniline is not always the same. Some have a fine texture and are pre-impregnated, while others are very porous and absorb water immediately. The Colourlock Aniline Clean Care Set is suitable for fine-pored and pre-impregnated leathers. There is no universal cleaning product for more sensitive leathers. Depending on the type of leather and blemishes, the appropriate product is chosen.

This set is also suitable for oily and greasy leather. Once again, there are varieties. Some oily or greasy leathers are very matte and very textured, some have a fine texture and are soft and semi-glossy. The Colourlock Aniline Clean Care Set is the first choice for matte leather with a silky appearance.

Proper care is very important for leathers with open pores, as they become less sensitive and easy to clean. However, the best protection is the attention paid when using such leathers.

How to use:

Due to the sensitivity of leathers with open pores, all products should be tested first on hidden areas to observe the changes that occur. Do not apply the products directly to the leather, but apply a quantity of foam to a sponge or cloth, and shake the care products first in a soft cloth. For both cleaning and care, use circular movements from one seam to the other to avoid the formation of stains and streaks. Avoid cleaning too wet and excessive rubbing. Residues can be removed with a cloth slightly dampened with water. Some leathers with open pores may show slight discoloration. In this case, work carefully and let dry to check for any unwanted discoloration, which is rare. Always let the leather dry naturally at room temperature.

Stains can also be removed with a soft cloth dampened with Aniline Cleaner. Avoid cleaning too wet to avoid streaks. Dry the darker area with a hair dryer with cold air to avoid water streaks. If the leather is still dark in the area of the stain after drying, stretch the leather several times. Sometimes the leather lightens in color by opening the pores. Always test on a hidden area first! Use with extreme caution on sensitive and light-colored leathers!

For daily use, we recommend Aniline Cream. Aniline Cream is an ideal product for protecting against stains and maintaining the suppleness of the leather. Signs of wear on oily leathers are reduced with Aniline Cream.

Aniline Cream should only be applied to clean leathers. Test the product on hidden areas first to observe the changes that occur. Slightly moisten a soft, lint-free cloth with Aniline Cream and apply evenly to the leather in circular motions from one seam to the next. Allow the product to be well absorbed (10 min.) and repeat if necessary. New aniline leathers should be treated several times as part of the initial treatment in the most used areas to prevent stains and discoloration. After application, gently dry the surface with a hair dryer using cool air. The protective effect is significantly increased. High-demand surfaces should be treated once every three months. For less demanding surfaces, every 6-12 months.

Aged leather or leather that is regularly exposed to the sun or heat sources should be additionally treated with Aniline Protector. Aniline Protector provides the necessary moisturizing substances for dry leather and protects against discoloration.
