Victorian Antique long watch chain with a slide. The period chain is gold filled and the slide is decorated with natural seed pearls and an opal. This watch chain can be worn looped twice around the neck as the ladies wore them back in the day. You can suspend a locket, pendant or watch from the swivel hook. The beautiful gold slide moves freely up and down the chain. These chains were very popular during the turn of the century and are very versatile and lovely to wear today.  The company was established in 1865 by John F. Sturdy in North Attelboro, MA. The firm was noted for its high quality chains. The chain is in very good condition.
