Reflecting on the Past, Creating Products that Last into the Future
This project began with the desire to offer something truly special to mark Rococo's 20th anniversary. As a clothing shop with a background in vintage clothing, we wanted to create a product that could still offer new value decades into the future.

What kind of product would that be?

- A fabric that improves with age, where wear and tear add character rather than detract from it.
- Durable enough for heavy-duty use in various settings.
- A design you’ll want to keep wearing for years to come.

This collaboration is the culmination of 20 years of Rococo, 30 years of Nanga, and 60 years of SIERRA DESIGNS. With a combined history of 110 years, we’ve crafted two products that we hope will be loved for the next 110 years as well.







The Golden Ratio of Water-Repellent Fabric Loved for Over 50 Years
We use the "60/40 (Rokuyon Cloth)" fabric, originally developed by SIERRA DESIGNS in 1968. Made with 60% cotton in the weft and 40% nylon in the warp, this innovative fabric swells when wet, tightening the weave to repel water while maintaining breathability. It’s a pioneering functional fabric.

Moreover, the fabric gains character the more you wear it, developing a unique, vintage feel over time.

An Evolution of 60/40 Fabric
Thanks to a collaboration with INVISTA, the original nylon used in the 60/40 fabric has been upgraded to ultra-durable Cordura nylon.

While retaining the excellent breathability and water-repellent properties, durability and tensile strength have been significantly enhanced.



High Performance with a Sustainable Edge
The down insulation uses 700FP 90/10 recycled down, a high-quality material that is both environmentally friendly and functional. Composed of 90% down and 10% feathers, it offers excellent warmth with 700 fill power, keeping you comfortable even in cold climates while contributing to sustainability.





Classic Details Intact
Paying homage to Nanga’s original Aurora Down, this jacket features a stand collar design with an optional detachable hood. The iconic 3-piece hood by SIERRA DESIGNS is adjustable with a drawcord, and the signature leather toggles add a stylish touch.

Additionally, the snap buttons are engraved with the SIERRA DESIGNS logo.





The front placket features a combination of water-resistant zippers and snap buttons for a sleek, functional design. The double zipper allows for easy temperature regulation and offers a unique silhouette.

The large hand pockets are based on details from the current Aurora Tex Down Jacket, providing easy access and functionality as hand-warmers.



The cuffs are equipped with Velcro, and the hem features a drawcord, allowing you to adjust the fit to your liking. This ensures that no cold air seeps in, maintaining excellent insulation.

The retro-inspired 3-tier quilting and generous down fill give this jacket a classic look.

While filled with luxurious down, the firm 60/40 fabric keeps the outer surface from looking overly puffy, while the interior down hugs your body for maximum warmth. Enjoy a stylish look combined with optimal warmth in this standout piece.
