Having spent a several years learning bowl turning on a pole-lathe Ben went on to learn how to make his own hook tools, we now make them for customers who would like to give the addictive craft of bowl turning a try.

They are forged from EN42J spring steel and come in 3 shapes for the different parts of the bowl. We make hooks for learners and more specialist tools for the more accomplished turner.

We find that the 3 tools we offer allow you to turn all sorts of bowls and make a great starter set. If you would just one tool to get you started then the best one to get is the external hook tool.
