Includes (4) Stainless Steel T-Bolt Clamps
MPN: TRL-390-S/S
Ensure a secure and reliable exhaust connection with the Trident Marine 3" ID 90-Degree Wet Exhaust Elbow. Designed for marine wet exhaust systems, this molded elbow provides a smooth 90-degree turn while maintaining proper exhaust flow and durability in high-heat, high-moisture environments.
Manufactured from premium EPDM rubber, this exhaust elbow resists heat, ozone, saltwater, and vibration commonly found in marine engine compartments. The molded construction delivers consistent wall thickness and a precise fit, reducing the risk of leaks or failure. Included stainless steel T-bolt clamps provide strong, even clamping force for a secure, long-lasting installation.
Ideal for inboard and sterndrive applications, this Trident Marine elbow meets or exceeds marine wet exhaust standards for performance and safety.
High-Temp EPDM Rubber: Specially formulated to withstand continuous temperatures up to 280°F (138°C). It is resistant to ozone, salt water, and the acidic nature of exhaust byproducts.
T-Bolt Clamps Included: This "S/S" kit includes four (4) 316 Stainless Steel T-Bolt clamps. T-bolt clamps provide significantly more uniform sealing pressure than standard worm-gear clamps, which is critical for preventing leaks in high-vibration exhaust zones.
Molded for Precision: The 90-degree bend is molded to maintain a consistent 3-inch internal diameter (ID) throughout the curve. This ensures maximum exhaust flow and prevents "bottlenecking" backpressure.
Wire Reinforcement: Designed with high-strength fabric and/or wire reinforcement (depending on the specific layup) to prevent the elbow from collapsing or ballooning under pressure.
Standards Compliance: Meets or exceeds SAE J2006 standards for marine wet exhaust systems.

Proper Alignment: Ensure the exhaust pipes are pushed fully into the elbow before tightening. The pipe should seat past the first T-bolt clamp for a secure, leak-proof seal.
The "Double-Clamp" Rule: Always use two clamps per side (as provided in this kit). Position the clamps so their bolts are 180 degrees apart to provide the most balanced pressure on the rubber.
Inspection: Check your exhaust elbows annually for "bulging" or cracks. EPDM is durable, but extreme overheat events (like a failed raw water impeller) can char the interior of the rubber, making it brittle and prone to failure.
Lubrication: If the fit is tight, use a tiny amount of dish soap and water to slide the elbow onto the pipe. Never use oil-based lubricants or grease, as they can degrade the rubber over time.
