We have often been asked what we use to sharpen our carving tools and crook knives with here at The Craft Lab, we have found that the best method is to use Wet and Dry sandpaper for the honing and then to strop the tools with some leather charged with some Tormek honing paste. We have now finally got these hand crafted stropping boards made to make sharpening your tools much easier.

This set compliments the other sharpening sets we offer and consists of two shaped sharpening boards, which have a 35mm wide flat face and then a 10mm radius on both edges allowing you to get in the inside face of even our tightest curved crook knife. One of the boards is to use with the sandpaper and it comes complete with a sheet of P240, P400 and P1200 grit Wet and Dry paper, which can be wrapped around and held in place with some rubber bands or tape. As the paper wears you can remove the worn section and carry on until the paper is used up.

It also has a second shaped board that is a strop, which has some thin leather attached to allow you to charge it with honing paste to strop your tools' outside edges as well as the inside faces to give a fantastic polished edge. Both boards have a hole drilled in the handle so you can hang them up in the workshop, they come embossed with our branded logo. Also included is a cotton drawstring bag to keep your sharpening set complete and clean.

You can add extra sandpaper and honing paste as a option before you add it to your bag.
