The Salomon Thundercross is a trail shoe for a dynamic, cushioned ride with exceptional grip and precise foothold. Equipped with aggressive 5mm lugs to tackle any terrain, no matter how tricky, technical, or just downright nasty. Developed in the French Alps, tried and tested on everything from rolling terrain to rocky slopes or sticky single tracks.

Sensifit Upper: Taking inspiration from the best of Salomon's trail-running fits, the Thundercross is complete with Sensifit construction for a precise, optimal foothold, and reliable, cushy comfort. Sensifit technology employs welded overlays to wrap the foot in a firm, customised fit; they help to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. Completing the upper is a Quick Lacing System which provides a minimalistic and strong lace for a one-pull tightening ensuring you get the shoes on and off with minimal effort. A lace pocket is useful as it allows the laces to be stowed away making sure the laces do not get caught or snagged on any sticks or bushes out on the trail, reducing distractions.

Energy Foam Midsole: Built on a springy and comfortable midsole compound that delivers punch and pop while smoothing out your landings for a fluid ride, the Thundercross provides lightweight and responsive cushioning. Energy Foam is a lightweight, springy and resilient foam compound that powers your stride forward. This lightweight, responsive foam has been created by combining EVA and Olefin [OBC] to deliver long-lasting cushion and bouncy energy return. The midsole provides excellent shock-absorbing properties to help protect the foot from shock and impact force. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection for all-day wear. Towards the bottom, the midsole is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step.

Contragrip Outsole: Tackle any run with supreme confidence knowing that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole of the Thundercross Trail Running Shoe is able to form a solid grip on soft to rough terrains including muddy trails. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. Aggressive, deep 5mm lugs provide excellent grip and traction on all kinds of technical terrain and surfaces.
