Product Description

This anemometer is assembled with a specially customized power generation wind speed sensor and a pointer type meter head. Its working principle is that when there is horizontal flow of wind in the environment, the special structure of the wind cup can generate fixed direction rotation and drive the built-in sensor to generate voltage, which is directly proportional to the rotation speed. The change in voltage of this signal is displayed by connecting it to a specially customized pointer type meter.

The maximum allowable environmental wind speed for this anemometer is 75KM/H. Any environment exceeding this wind speed may exceed the range and damage the meter head.

This sensor is spontaneous and does not require power supply. When there is wind rotating, it generates a voltage signal and is displayed by the meter head.

This wind speed sensor is a simple structure with average accuracy and is only suitable for environmental wind speed reference, not suitable for meteorological forecast level applications.

The wind speed sensor should be installed in a horizontal position to ensure that the installation position is not prone to water accumulation and is easy to detect environmental wind speed. The wind speed sensor has a rainproof function, but it is not resistant to soaking in rainwater. The signal output line is about 3 meters long, and when it needs to be extended, it can be connected according to the corresponding color. The wind speed sensor has a height of approximately 6.5CM and a rotating diameter of approximately 14CM. The size of the meter head is shown in the following figure.

Definition of wind speed sensor wiring: The black line with white stripes represents the signal voltage output (0-2V, maximum not exceeding 4V, can be directly connected to the microcontroller AD analog port of the 5V system), and the black line represents GND, which is connected to the post behind the meter head.

Installation dimensions of wind speed sensor:

The base component is made of ABS injection molding technology, with a chassis diameter of 46MM. It is fixed by three holes with a radius of 18MM and a diameter of 6MM distributed at 120 degrees. Three M5 or M6 bolts can be used for fixation. The power generation sensor is fixed in the base, and the signal wire is a two core wire with a default length of about 3 meters. The signal wire is a double parallel wire, with black with white stripes indicating the signal voltage and pure black indicating GND.

Precautions:

It should be firmly and horizontally installed at a high position that is easy to detect environmental wind, but not higher than the lightning protection device. There should be no large objects nearby that hinder wind flow, and the installation site should not be easily soaked in water to damage the internal sensor. The outlet wire should be fixed to avoid blocking the rotation of the wind cup. Regularly check if the installation screws are loose. Do not insert or unplug the fan blades on your own to avoid damage. The meter head is not waterproof and should be installed in a safe place. The maximum length of the connecting wire should not exceed 20 meters, otherwise the signal will be attenuated.
