プラスチックフレームの復刻に力を入れているブランドに比べ、ユナイテッド ヴィンテージはメタルグラスからスタートすることが多く、18世紀の産業革命から1980年代までのメタルグラスのディテールを見ることができます。 今回新発売のモデル、UV-8016は1970年代のメタルレトロミラーをベースにしているようで、レンズリングが48mm大きくなり、小さな10角のチタンメタルミラーのデザインが丸くない形状となっているでも丸い。 もちろん、アジアンフレンドリーなノーズパッドや包み込むようなテンプルアームなど、レトロな魅力を持ちながらもモダンな掛け心地を併せ持つ、ユナイテッド ヴィンテージの大きなセールスポイントであることは間違いありません。
