When we discovered these woolly hats at our local craft gallery we bought one each simply because they looked and felt great, but after using them for a while we realised they were much more than this. They looked good, they felt good, they were very hard wearing, very warm, made of pure wool and each one was completely unique. They have become an essential part of our outdoor kit. So we decided to track Buffy down and ask her if she would supply us with hats for you.

When we met Buffy at her barn workshop we realised we had found someone very special. Her talent for marrying great practical design with beautiful natural yarns creates hats that are a pleasure to wear. This mirrors our own belief that if something is worth making it is worth making well with longevity and reliability in mind. She has been making hats in pure wool for 15 years and they have travelled all over the world, from New Zealand to Canada, all over Europe and as high as Everest Base Camp.

We asked Buffy to make our range with natural shades to blend with the outdoor environment and left her to it. We were extremely happy with what she came up with. These hats will serve you well for many, many years. You may not be travelling as far as Everest Base Camp but wearing one of these hats will keep you warm and cosy on all your bushcraft adventures, be it a trip to the bottom of the garden to carve a spoon or across the country on a coastal backpacking trip.
