A Belle Époque sapphire and diamond cluster ring, centring around a 8ct carat cushion-cut sapphire with even blue tones throughout. The blue gemstone is secured in an 18ct white gold rub-over setting that is detailed with millegrain edging. The sapphire is encircled by a cluster of round-cut diamonds with a combined weight of 0.66 carats which is further flanked with diamond set shoulders that are worked into a foliate shape. The ring is finished with a pierced gallery and open back-holing, tests as 18ct white gold, circa 1905.
