Private, one-on-one guidance to strengthen your formulation, sharpen your consultation, and build a clearer professional path.
This is a focused, high-impact 60-minute session designed for hairstylists and colorists at every level, from newly licensed to advanced. If you are experiencing inconsistent results, tonal surprises, gray coverage issues, brass that keeps returning, or formulas that “work on some clients but not others,” this consultation is built to diagnose the real cause and give you a precise plan you can execute with confidence.
You will leave with a clearer approach to formulation, a more disciplined analysis process, and practical direction for your next steps behind the chair.
We target the specific area where your results are breaking down, including:
-
Tone direction and control
Neutralizing warmth, avoiding mud, building clean reflects, selecting the right tonal family for the client, and correcting “off” results without overcomplicating the formula.
-
Gray coverage strategy
Resistant hair, translucency, depth control, reflect selection, developer choice, timing, saturation, and why coverage looks great in the salon then shifts at home.
-
Blonde and toning refinement
Why toners grab, fade, go hollow, or read too warm or too cool, plus how to create predictable tone on different porosity patterns.
-
Corrections and unevenness
Banding, hot roots, dark ends, over-porous mids, metallic and mineral interference, and how to create a step-by-step correction plan that respects hair integrity.
-
Developer and processing guidance
Matching lift and deposit to the hair and the goal, plus practical timing strategy and control points.
-
Brand translation
Guidance can be applied across major professional color lines. If you work in Wella or another line, we will translate concepts into your line’s language so you can execute immediately.
Client analysis (the part most stylists skip)
To formulate accurately, you have to analyze accurately. I teach you how to assess:
- Temperature, value, and intensity (how the client reads, and what tones truly harmonize)
- Bone structure, face shape, and visual weight (to guide placement, contrast, and overall design)
- Hair texture, density, porosity, and elasticity (so the formula performs the way you expect)
When you learn to measure the client correctly, your formulas stop feeling like a gamble.
Career guidance (strategy and clarity)
If you want to use the hour to focus partly or fully on your career direction, we can cover:
- How to refine your niche and positioning (colorist, blonding, brunettes, reds, corrections, luxury maintenance)
- Consultation flow that increases trust and acceptance
- Pricing confidence and service structure
- Client retention and rebooking systems
- Portfolio direction, content strategy, and how to attract the right clientele
- Salon pathway decisions, education goals, and how to raise your professional ceiling
What you get
By the end of the session, you will have:
- A clear diagnosis of what is causing the issue (not just a generic fix)
- A practical formulation plan you can repeat
- Adjustment rules for future clients with similar patterns
- A stronger client-analysis framework so your decisions are consistent
- Optional career action steps, depending on your goals
Optional (recommended): I can send a brief written recap after the call with your key takeaways and next steps, so you are not relying on memory.
How it works
Format: 60 minutes (virtual)
We will work from your real-world examples, including photos, formulas you have tried, and the result you got versus the result you wanted. Screen sharing is welcome.
You can use the hour in one of three ways:
- 100% formulation help
- 70% formulation, 30% career guidance
- 50% formulation, 50% career guidance
What to prepare (so we can go deep fast)
Before your session, have as many of these ready as possible:
- Your color line and developer(s) used
- Target outcome and the actual outcome
- Client starting level and tone (your best estimate is fine)
- Gray percentage if relevant
- Photos in natural light when possible (before, during, after)
- Porosity and condition notes (especially mids and ends)
- Any complicating factors: previous color history, mineral buildup, hard water, chlorine exposure, heat styling, medications that may affect hair integrity (only if relevant)
If you do not have all of this, we can still work. It simply helps us move with more precision.
Who this is for
- Working colorists who want more consistency and fewer surprises
- Advanced stylists who want refinement, correction strategy, and cleaner results
- Educators or salon leaders who want stronger systems for their team

- You will receive a scheduling link (or booking instructions) after checkout.
- If you need to reschedule, a minimum of 24 hours notice is recommended. (You can adjust this policy to your preference.)
- Late arrivals will shorten the session time to respect the schedule.
