BD Vacutainer® Critical Care Syringes can be used to measure arterial blood gas, ionized calcium, ionized magnesium, as well as perform critical care tests. BD Preset™ Syringes contain calcium balanced lithium heparin spray dried on the sides of the syringe.

The BD Preset™ Syringe permits both aspiration and preset sampling. Suitable for the entire critical care panel of tests.

The syringe plunger can be preset to the recommended volume. As arterial blood fills the syringe, the residual air is expelled through the self-venting membrane.
