A 500 cps viscosity linear silicone polymer, dimethicone 50O is 100% active. Polydimethylsiloxanes, or linear silicones, are big, high-molecular polymers that are typically more viscous and oil-like in texture.

• Dimenthicone is used for hair and skin care products like conditioners, shampoos, creams, lotions, and colour cosmetics like makeup, lip balms, lipsticks, and skin protectants. Additionally, it is utilised in anti-foams, colour cosmetics, and hair care products due to its chemical stability.

• Non-comedogenic formula improves skin barrier and protects against environmental damage.

• Prevents moisture loss and promotes hydration and frizz-free hair. When used as a foundation ingredient in formulations, it acts as an anti-foaming agent. Dimethicone 500 is a 100% active linear silicone polymer with a viscosity of 500 cps. It acts as an emulsifier, preventing product separation.

• Increases colour dispersibility (solvent). Use at 1-20% (up to 50%) in the oil phase or at the end of a recipe. Do not heat above 50°C (125°F). For exterior use only. 

SOLUBILITY: Insoluble in water, partially soluble in alcohol, and dispersible in oils and fats. Viscosity cps at 25°C.

HOW TO USE:

• Stir continually in the oil phase of formulations.

• Do not heat above 50°C (125°F).

• Once heated to 50°C/125°F, it can be combined into emulsions.

Shelf-life and storage: Store in a sealed container in ambient settings with no expiration dates.
