This is a 444-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle made by Stumpcraft Puzzles in Canada.

Stumpcraft Puzzles print their images directly on the wood resulting in rich colors with a matte finish for reduced glare, and are cut from 1/4” Eco Gold MDF.

The puzzle design by Jasen Robillard features diverse irregular piece shapes, many whimsies and multi-piece whimsies, and a straight edge. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 'The Princess and the Pea', the whimsies include symbols of growth and transformation such as a chrysalis, butterfly, pea shoot, princess, and queen, along with 14 cats in various playful and restful poses. 

This puzzle also includes two alternate solutions: a pea pod designed to hold the extra peas, and a 41-piece “Cat Tree” structure for puzzlers willing to look a little deeper. 

With its intricate artwork, thoughtful whimsy design, and clever hidden elements, this puzzle is quite challenging for its size.
