Louise Heighes crafts her handmade leather artworks at her studio in Margate, England. Building on her fashion background, she cuts, weaves and folds the material into 3D shapes to create unique art pieces for the interior design market.

This piece is inspired by the blossoms that signal the beginning of spring. Blossom comprises a mass of simple petals scattered randomly across the leather surface. Louise cuts the top sheet of leather and carefully pushes the petal shapes through from below to create a dynamic and textured design. This monochrome creation will add a distinctive decorative touch to any contemporary interior.
