A charming Victorian fob pendant, simple in form yet rich in character and sentiment.
The piece is designed as a classic open fob setting, terminating in a beautifully coloured paste intaglio. The stone has a lovely burnt orange hue, glowing warmly in the light and perfectly complementing the antique gold toned mount.
Formed in a pleasing rectangular shape, the intaglio has been finely engraved with the phrase “Alls Well.” This reassuring motto was a popular sentiment in the 19th century, often used to convey a sense of comfort and safety. A quiet message that everything is as it should be.
