Advanced L-Series Optics

A rectilinear optical design features one Super UD element, three standard UD elements, and three aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion throughout the zoom range while also providing consistent edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination.
ASC (Air Sphere Coating) and SWC (Subwavelength Structure Coating) to reduce flare, ghosting, and other aberrations for increased contrast and color accuracy.
FLC fluorine coating applied to the lens's surface effectively repels dust, water droplets, grease, and dirt, ensuring easy removal even when they adhere to the lens surface. This coating also endures a high frequency of lens surface wiping, and its antireflective effect contributes to the capture of clear images.

Handling and Design

Configurable Control Ring can be used to adjust a variety of exposure settings, including aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation.
