Wireless masthead transmitter sends NMEA 0183 wind speed and direction data to a paired receiver base unit. The transmitter runs on an internal battery charged by a small solar panel; a few dull days will not affect performance and, when fully charged, it can provide up to 2,000 hours of operation in total darkness. The base unit is powered from the vessel's 12 Volt supply and forwards wind data to a Clipper Wind display or any compatible NMEA display.
