They are generally tropical plants that prefer bright, indirect light, high humidity, and well-draining, airy, chunkier potting mixes.

1. Anthurium (Tailflower/Flamingo Flower) 

• Characteristics: Known for both its glossy, long-lasting, brightly colored spathes (often red, pink, or white) and velvety, heart-shaped, or strap-like leaves. Primarily epiphytes in nature, many are grown for their dramatic foliage textures, such as Anthurium clarinervium.
