＜The Best Of J-AOR "Mellow" compilation album "The Best Of J-AOR" was released in 2004, about 20 years ago. ＞The Best Of J-AOR "Mellow" compilation album was released in 2004, about 20 years ago, and was supervised and selected by Mr. Akito Katayose of GREAT 3. The compilation was a forerunner of today's CITY POP music compilations, with jacket illustrations by Hiroshi Nagai. This 2-CD set was re-released in March in response to the strong demand from fans who were unable to obtain it at the time. In 2023, it will be re-released in analog form with the latest remastering, including 7 songs from "The Best Of J-AOR 'Mellow'" and 8 new songs. New to this analog release is Marty Balin's "There's No Shoulder".Marty Balin, an original member of 1960s psychedelic rock powerhouse Jefferson Airplane and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, is a well-known Off Course fan, and composed "There's No Shoulder The song "There's No Shoulder" was composed by Kazuhiko Matsuo of Off Course. Incidentally, Marty Balin later covered Off Course's "Sayonara" (under the name KBC BAND) and "YES-YES-YES" (under the name Jefferson Starship). There's No Shoulder" was produced and arranged by Kan Inoue and recorded in Japan in 1983. The participating musicians included Kan Inoue, Go Kon, Shigeru Okazawa, Hideo Yamaki, Shigetoya Hamaguchi, Pecker Hashida, Hidefumi Toki, Tadahide Yoshikawa, and many other talented players in the J-POP scene at the time.
