Construction details suggest this sweet day dress is not quite as vintage as it looks, but the styling and fabric are pure 1950s! Deep sweetheart neckline, curvy fitted bodice with dropped waist, full skirt. Neckline and capped dolman style sleeves are trimmed in two shades of blue rickrack. Very cute!

FABRIC/COLORS: Cotton broadcloth in a charming print of blue flowers against a melting gray and white background with etched borders of smaller flowers.

TAG: No tags at all. This dress was most likely hand tailored.

CLOSURES: Nylon zipper in back.

CONDITION: Excellent. I don’t see any stains, holes, tears or other issues. The fabric is so sturdy and unfaded that the dress looks like it was rarely or never worn.
