Celebrating her 90th birthday. Dutch soprano Elie Amerling will turn 90 this year (2023). To celebrate, the Bach recordings she made for Decca and Philips are being released together for the first time. 20-CD box set. Limited edition. Armeling was called "the most perfect Bach soprano" by Gramophone magazine. Ernest Anselme, Raymond Leppard, Karl Münchinger, and Helmut Winschermann conducted her in 13 cantatas, the Passion of Matthew and John, the B minor Mass, and the Christmas Oratorio, recorded with Münchinger in 1966 and with Eugen Jochum in 1972.
