Château Odilon is made predominantly from the merlot grape, which is particularly suited to its clay-limestone soils. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, the wine is round and supple with silky tannins, a unique style of Haut-Medoc.
Flavours of black fruit, liquorice sticks and delicate notes of orange blossom and vanilla.
Alcohol by volume 13.5%.
Grape variety: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. Current vintage: 2020.
Château Odilon is in the Listrac-Médoc appellation, in the middle of the limestone plateau, away from the Gironde estuary. The property thus benefits from a relatively sheltered environment.
