Description:
In the 21st century, the guitar repertoire has been further enriched and the skills of players have improved, with the introduction of electric guitars, multiple recordings, etc. Arturo Tarlini, winner of the 20th Michele Pittaluga International Classical Guitar Competition held in 1987, is a virtuoso who plays a variety of guitars. He is one of the best players of various guitars. On this album, he opens with Steve Reich's masterpiece "Electric Counterpoint," written for Pat Metheny, and plays a solo part along with a tape recording made by his friend, the late guitarist Domenico Assione. The band also performs Cage's "Room," which he arranged for his own prepared guitar, and four pieces for classical guitar, including two world premiere recordings. In "Percussion Study" by Campera, he shows off his superb technique while also singing and murmuring. Naxos Japan
