Key Facts about the Ford Pre-Crossflow Engine:

Name Origin:
The term "pre-crossflow" comes from its cylinder head design. In this engine, both the intake and exhaust ports are on the same side of the cylinder head.
This differs from crossflow engines, where intake and exhaust are on opposite sides, improving breathing and efficiency.

Common capacities include 997cc, 1098cc, 1198cc, 1340cc and 1498cc
