Puligny-Montrachet is the reference point for fine white Burgundy, and Monnier's village wine shows why. It comes from a single plot on marl and brown limestone and is given an extended, cool fermentation that favours line over weight. Where Meursault leans plush, Puligny is about cut and precision, a tighter, more mineral frame that carries fine length. One to drink now or hold a few years.
