A boxwood, lead workers chasing wedge with a steel collar. This would have been used for shaping the corners of sheet lead on roofs. Probably 19th century. This type of item is impossible to date accurately as similar forms were used over long periods of time. The wood has a beautiful colour and patina and has the previous owners initial M on each sode as shown. It is in very good condition.
