British pianist Tom Poster, winner of the top prize at the 2007 Scottish International Piano Competition and a Chandos performer with Jennifer Pike and the Doric String Quartet, has created a collection of unknown British and American violin pieces with violinist Elena Urioste, whom he met through the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists Scheme. A collection of little-known violin pieces.They are musical partners as well as life partners (they are now married), and the album title, "From Brighton to Brooklyn," expresses their mutual fascination with the music of their home countries, while exploring and celebrating their respective backgrounds in England and America.
