A safer and technologically advanced way to study heat coductivity in different metals. The unit consists of four metal strips, steel, brass, aluminum and copper, mounted on a strong plastic base. The strips are 5.25" (135mm) long x 0.38" (9.5mm) wide x 0.11" (2.9mm) thick. Of the total length about 1.13" (28mm) at the end is not plastic backed, so the bars can be immersed in hot water and the rate of conduction of heat can be measured by the strip thermometers mounted on the strips. Plastic base is 7" (175mm) long.
