Miles Davis, the king of the modern jazz scene, has been creating new jazz music at the forefront of the times since his solo debut in 1947, leading the jazz scene by nurturing and debuting many young musicians. Even after his death, he continues to influence musicians in various genres and is greatly respected as a jazz musician. In 1964, after his first Japan tour, Miles Davis replaced Sam Rivers with Wayne Shorter, who had emerged from the ranks of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers. Wayne Shorter, who had emerged as a prominent member of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, joined the band and began a new tour. Here, the golden quintet idealized by Miles Davis was born. The concert that took place on October 8 of the same year in the German regional city of Sindelfingen was recorded and broadcast for a local radio station. This release is based on this radio broadcast.Although the audio quality is not perfect, Miles Davis gave a nearly 90-minute performance, which is unusual for a Miles Davis performance of this period, and this live album includes the complete recording of the performance.
