Suspension and retention

Retention centers on a rapid-adjusting ratcheting headband that captures almost any head shape without tools. The headband works alongside two interchangeable interior padding sets — one thinner profile and one thicker — plus a fixed tan safety padding layer that stays in place regardless of which comfort set is installed. All padding uses memory foam construction: firm initially, conforming after a short break-in period, and resilient enough to retain its shape through years of use. Padding pieces attach via Velcro and can be repositioned or removed for cleaning.

For any application involving rifle threats, a separate hard armor plate system is required for torso protection; head protection at rifle threat levels is not currently achievable in a wearable form factor.

This FAST High-Cut is a ballistic helmet rated to IIIA+. If your use case involves firearms threats or fragmentation, a ballistic helmet is the correct choice.

Does the helmet come with a ballistic visor or communications headset?

No. The package includes the helmet, harness system, NVG shroud, ARC rail system with bungees, interior padding sets, and an ARC-to-Picatinny adapter.
