HOW TO USE:
Ensure that the Vaginal Speculum is clean and sterilized before use. Apply a small amount of water-based lubricating gel to the blades of the Miller speculum to facilitate insertion. Hold the Semm Vaginal Speculum closed, and gently insert it into the vaginal opening, angling it slightly downward. Encourage the patient to take slow, deep breaths to help her relax. Gradually advance the speculum while maintaining a gentle, steady pressure. Once the speculum is inside the vaginal canal, gently open the blades using the self-retaining mechanism, if applicable. This will separate the vaginal walls and allow visibility of the cervix.
