High-Angle Steering

4-Tec Drift Drift provides over 60° of steering angle at full lock to enable big sideways drifts and quick transitions. The front suspension is specially tuned for drifting with new steering blocks, bellcranks and a drag link optimized for maximum throw.

Customizable Drift Modes

Only 4-Tec Drift lets you choose between three customizable drift modes. TQi Radio with Wireless Module

A Traxxas Link^™ Wireless Module is included to harness the full potential of 4-Tec Drift’s powerful TSM drift modes. Use the full-color graphical interface to personalize the 3-channel TQi^™ radio’s settings and unlock its advanced tuning features. Tap the handbrake button on the side to initiate rotation and begin your drift.

Hard and Soft Compound Tires Included

4-Tec Drift is designed for maximum versatility with two sets of 1.9″ drift tires included in the box. Use the factory-installed hard compound tires on any hard abrasive surface like pavement or cement. The included soft compound tires provide refined drift control on polished surfaces.

New Rear-Wheel-Drive Platform

4-Tec Drift rides on a new rear-wheel-drive platform based on the responsive 200 mm 4-Tec chassis. The front bulkhead and suspension are all new to provide optimal drift geometry and over 60° of steering angle. TSM Drift Mode

Once a driver initiates a drift, TSM Drift Mode interprets their inputs and seamlessly applies just enough steering and throttle assistance to maintain the intended drift angle. The out-of-the-box settings are tuned to accommodate the widest range of drivers and surfaces. It is not recommended to adjust these settings until the driver becomes familiar with the car. As driving skill increases, TSM Drift settings offer innovative new tuning for different surface conditions and driving styles.

Steering Angle

This slider controls how much steering angle the driver can input with the steering wheel. Out of the box this control is set to 50% using the Multi-Function knob on the transmitter. The 50% setting helps prevent drivers that are new to drifting from overturning the wheels and causing an extreme push condition. Steering angle can also be adjusted in the Traxxas Link app.

STEERING REFLEX – This slider controls how much TSM steering assistance is being applied to maintain the drift angle. This control works like the TSM control found on other Traxxas models except the output is specially tuned for drifting and high steering angles.THROTTLE REFLEX – This slider controls how much TSM throttle assistance is being applied to maintain the drift angle. Reduce the percentage for less throttle assist, increase the percentage for more.

SPINOUT ASSIST – This control detects when the car is heading for a full spinout and automatically enables TSM to intervene and adjust the throttle.

Hard and Soft Compound Tires Included

4-Tec Drift rolls out of the box ready for action with 1.9″ hard-compound drift tires installed. These tires are designed for street driving on abrasive surfaces like concrete and asphalt. A second set of soft-compound tires is included in the box for improved control on polished track surfaces.

Clipless Mustang Body

Traxxas captures the strength and power of the Ford Mustang with this licensed clipless body. Mustang’s low, muscular stance is accentuated by wide tires riding on aggressive 6-spoke tuner wheels. Beautiful metallic paint contrasts the molded body details for show-stopping looks and timeless Mustang styling.

Injection-Molded Details

The Mustang body is superbly detailed with injection-molded side mirrors, lower grille with splitter, and rear diffuser. The molded rear spoiler and hood vents not only look great, they also act as body reinforcements for the clipless mounting system to create a seamless look.

6-Spoke Wheels and Drift Tires

Stylish 6-spoke wheels feature a rubber inner liner with grooves to hold the tire securely in place. Tires swaps are quick and easy thanks to this innovative feature.

Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks^™

4-Tec Drift rides on oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilizing X-ring technology for a perfect seal and silky-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils and pistons and feature spring clips to change the ride height and pre-load. New super soft spring are tuned to deliver maximum weight transfer for perfect drifts.

Adjustable Rear Camber

Adjustable steel turnbuckles allow easy camber tuning. The rear suspension features dual turnbuckle mounting points to accommodate different bodies.

Rear Spool with 48-Pitch Gears

4-Tec Drift's rear spool features 48-pitch gears with a 5° spiral cut to reduce backlash for smooth, quiet running.

Fixed Gear Mesh System

4-Tec Drift eliminates the hassle of setting gear mesh with its innovative fixed positioning system. Use the convenient chart included in the user manual to select the proper hole for your pinion gear.

One-Piece Driveshafts

One-piece steel driveshafts save weight and send power directly to the wheels for lightning quick response times. Extended drive cups allow for maximum articulation and ultimate durability.

Molded Wire Retainer

A simple wire clip would look out of place with this futuristic high-tech chassis. Traxxas engineers designed a trick molded wire retainer to keep wiring secured safely out of the way.

New Titan^® Drift 21T Motor

With 21 turns of pure copper wire, the new Titan Drift motor delivers smooth, predictable power at any RPM to initiate a slide with the blip of the throttle. An internal fan routes cooling air through the can for longer run times and lower temperatures.

XL-5 Waterproof Electronic Speed Control

The XL-5 electronic speed control balances high power output with the precise control required for mid-corner adjustments. The XL-5 is completely waterproof with three drive modes, low voltage detection, thermal shutdown protection, and 2-cell LiPo compatibility.

Low-CG Chassis

4-Tec Drift's high-tech chassis keeps weight positioned as low as possible for a crisp, responsive feel. Three interlocking modules provide unprecedented rigidity and tight tolerances with a completely smooth undertray to eliminate snags. Not only is the chassis stiffer and more responsive, it’s also easy to disassemble.

TSM Receiver with Fail-Safe Security

In the event of signal loss due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built-in and does not need to be activated.

Adjustable Battery Hold Down

A quick-release, dual-height battery mount accommodates a wide range of batteries including long format NiMH and 2-cell LiPo battery packs.

Waterproof Receiver Box

A sealed receiver box gives you the freedom to practice your drifting skills regardless of the weather. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented watertight seal. A blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water.

Digital Steering Servo

A high-performance chassis needs a precise steering servo for responsive performance and Traxxas delivers with the digital 2075 servo. This waterproof steering servo uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. Waterproof for all-weather action, the 2075 provides 125 oz-in of steering muscle.

Hex Hardware

4-Tec Drift uses high-grade metric hex-drive hardware throughout for extra strength and easy maintenance. The black oxide rust-resistant finish provides a high-tech look and feel.

High-Angle Steering

4-Tec Drift provides over 60° of steering angle at full lock for huge slides and stable high-angle drifting fun. A completely redesigned front suspension incorporates a new servo horn and drag link optimized for maximum steering throw. This unique setup provides uncompromising precision while maintaining 4-Tec’s drift-tuned suspension geometry.

High-Performance Suspension Adjustments

4-Tec Drift gives drivers complete customization to tune their vehicles for any driving style or track surface with a fully adjustable suspension. All-new front suspension arms adjust for width to increase the front track. The suspension also includes adjustments for caster, roll center, ackerman, droop, toe, and bump steer.

Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings

Rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.

Clipless Body Mounting

Locking tabs hold the body tightly to the chassis with an audible snap to signal they’re secure. The self-energizing locking tabs stay locked until you release them. This hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.
