Installation Instructions

For most Toyota Hilux (2006–2013) models, this kit is fully plug-and-play, automatically receiving the reverse signalfrom the factory stereo.

Reverse Light Trigger Connection (For Certain Models Only)
If your Hilux does not have a reverse signal in the 28-pin stereo plug, follow these steps:

1. Locate the driver’s side fuse box behind the panel near the left knee area.
2. Find the small vertical connector in the center of the fuse box – this will have only a few wires.
3. Identify the thin red/white wire in this connector – this is the reverse light signal (12V trigger).
4. Connect the green wire from the AutoChimp harness to this red/white wire to enable automatic camera activation.

Note: If your Hilux already has a reverse signal in the stereo harness, this step is not required.
